Just a small question when I first took out my ins for Honey my dog it was £7 pound something, then the next year it went up to £9.38, will it keep going up as each year goes by, and do you not get some kind of discount if you have a club card. Might look for another company next time, what with the credit crunch and all.
Thanks Carole Keating

Hi Natalie. I'm so sorry to hear that and I know that dealing with these insurance companies can be a real killer. Unfortunately we'll mostly hear the negative side of things as people are not as likely to spend time and energy running around telling everyone that their insurance company paid them.

I do think that it is a good idea not to always take "no" for an answer and I'm sure that if the insurance company is wrong then there will be a lot of different organizations that will be able to help you get the payout that you require.

tesco are charlatans and I will be taking them to court and watch dog etc. My 2yrs old rottie bitch just tripped down a rabbit hole 12weeks ago and ruptured her cruciate ligament. It cost £3200 and they are now saying they will not pay out. Last year at just 1yrs old she ruptured her right hind when jumping out of the lake and they are saying that this is linked. In other words there policy should read that they will only insure a 4legged animal for 1 leg! I will be going to trading standards, watchdog and anyone else who will listen and not let them get away with this. I have since found others in the same situation.
DO NOT USE TESCO FOR YOUR DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fabulous alternative to pet insurance is a veterinarian discount program. Instead of paying high insurance premiums, you pay a really low flat fee and get a set discount off of ALL in-house vet services. At Pet Assure, membership is $10 a month and you are guaranteed a 25% DISCOUNT on ALL in-network vets. No claim forms, no deducatable, no hassling.

I notice there is no mention of Embrace Pet Insurance within this category. They are clearly a leader in pet insurance coverage for dogs and cats, with a variety of coverages available to customize to your pet's individual needs.
