These animals live as pets mainly to give their owners love, enjoyment, fun and protection. To some, their pets – in this case birds and their songs – serve them as emotional outlets which give them harmony and tranquility.

Pets Bought In Shops

Pets nowadays are usually bought from pet shops rather than capturing from the wild and taming them. Of course, it is more practical to buy a pet in a pet shop rather than having a pet from the wild for the very obvious reason – safety. Pet shops offer many options in choosing the right pet for you. They could also give you a more specific descriptions on what pet should you get to fulfill your needs. Having a veterinarian examine the animal upon purchase or even before purchase is vital to check the pet’s health. A pet insurance also offers benefits not only to the animal but also to the pet owner. There are many pet insurances around but if you want to have a trusted one, get ASDA pet insurance.

Training New Pets

A newly bought pet must be given time to adjust to its environment or to its new home. They must be introduced to specific areas to do their routines like exercising, eating, drinking, cleaning and brushing. As animals become more familiar with the place they’re in, the more they become comfortable and less anxious about the things they see or feel.

Usually, you expect your pets to understand you. And they do! They understand you. The only problem is you don’t understand them. People want to treat their pets as if they’re not just pets but something or someone that belongs to the human race. However, here’s the thing – cats, dogs, or birds don’t think the way you do. Oftentimes, you jump into a conclusion that what you like to do and eat is what your pet likes to do and eat. Uncharacteristic behaviors become less puzzling when you look at something at your pet’s point of view. An example of this is a cat’s behavior around other cats. According to Bruce Frogle, cats doesn’t like other cats the way people like other people. Cats are threatened by the presence of other cat inside to what they consider as their territory.

Disciplining our pets is very different when you’re disciplining a little child. Threats won’t have an effect to them because they simply don’t understand what you are saying. Cats will just keep staring at you even if you snarl and shout at them because they accidentally torn the curtains. You can’t put on democracy on them either because you’re the one who should decide for them. Hurting your pets would also do no good. You will only push them away from you. Reward trainings will always be the best. They remember to do this and that because they get rewards.

Living with pets is a marvelous privilege. In the first place, it was one of God’s commands to Adam – to take care of His creations and to nourish it.
