I thought since the AKC name was affiliated with this insurance it would be a creditable provider.

I was grossly mistaken. You should absolutely research all providers - you will see other companies do cover what the AKC does not.

My experience with the 4 policies I HAD with the AKC is beyond heartwrenching and disappointing.

Yes the AKC offers "wellness" yet the money you pay for that you could have self funded that in the premium several times over. When you need the "illness" portion as my experience was -- I learned of the "fantasy of coverage" I was sold and had nothing.

After diagnostics, hospitalization, medicals, on different occassions the AKC deemed it as "one incidient" when it wasn't. To clarify -- how does an MRI of the brain indicating a lession have anything to do with nephritis they don't. The AKC ruled it did and denied thousands of dollars in claims.

I was sold the "Illusion" of a policy while covered with the AKC. The final insult, the doctors could not help my beloved pup anymore stating it was medically necessary to euthanize him. The Akc DENIED that as well.

I ask do you want to deal with this and pay your hard earned dollars to such a misleading insurance provider?
