My 12year old fox terrior male dog is leaking urine, rather large amounts now. were small really unnoticeable about a year ago. Is suddenly drinking large amounts of water. How do I manage this problem. Our pets lie on our bed and counches. What are his chances of recovering.
Thanks

My 8-year-old Dwarf rabbit seemed to have sprained his back right foot on Jan 12th 2011. While I was trying to fall asleep, I heard a small bang from when he hopped into his cage. Sometimes he'd hit his leg when he jumps in but nothing happened before. So I'm thinking that he banged it? He Wasn't putting any pressure on it, but was able to hop around, he was eating and drinking. He'd usually follow me around, but he would just lay down. He looked like he wanted to follow me his ears went up and he got up a little then layed back down. Jan 17th he was all back to himself. He was Thumper and was 100% himself. Thennn this morning Jan21st I just noticed him favoring his right front foot. He's able to hop but he's basically acting like he did when he hurt his back paw. But he's hopping a lot more than when he hurt his back paw. He hops across the room to his litter box and back and thats a far distance. I have no idea how he hurt his front foot. I felt around and didn't feel a difference in both front feet. He is holding it up, and when i touch it in certain places he flinches. He lets me rub it and seems to like that. Should I keep doing that? Please help!!

i have two small breed dogs (little bigger than a chiwawa). they are 8 human years and got all their recommended shots. about 3 yrs ago one was involved in an accident which required complete removal of one back leg. she recovered well but her teeth were damaged and cavities appeared which cause a foul odor but she always had a healthy appetite and was happy and playful until 3-4 days ago when i noticed she couldnt walk up the stairs, she usually would speed up the stairs with ease although she was fat and heavy. a day later she couldnt walk but still had a healthy appetite and i noticed a very small amount of yellow looking stuff at the corner of her eyes, her eyes were red, also a little amount of greenish looking stuff in her nostril once, which i removed and she vomitted a whitish looking frothy substance that was slightly gluey, it also had little substance in it. a day after that she couldnt stand and stopped eating but drank water and passed urine once. she was given 5mls of worm medication but passed 2 pieces of extremely hardened dry stool. the next day she was given another dose 5mls of the liquid solution for worms, and i give her vitalyte in some water on a regular basis. yesterday while holding her in my arms she started to shiver and her extremities started to stiffen for about 3 minutes and stopped, when she settled i fed the vitalyte in water to her and she seemed ok, i was told to add some milk and cod liver oil to the vitalyte and water and give it to her, i notice that day her eyes werent red anymore, and looked nice and bright, the veins in her eyes were bluish. she seemed calmed until about 3 hours later she started to gasp for breath and i noticed her lips and gums loosing colour, she tragically passed away shortly after that. i'll like to know where i went wrong and what was the problem with her and if she could of recovered, also her sister who was born from the litter before her from the same father but different mother, is going through the grieving process. she ate yesterday and last night but refuse to eat today at 10am but she pass urine. she was given the worm medicine same time with her sister on those two occations but didnt pass stools yesterday or today. what can i do, please help me find answers to my questions. she doesnt seem to be sick, just saddened

I'm asking this because I have had cats, and have had several litters of kittens, and none of them have had worms. Yet, I've read that ALL kittens are either born with worms, or get them during nursing.
I know someone that found a kitten, and her mother insists that all kittens have worms. Now this lady is afraid to touch the kitten, because she's afraid she'll get the worms from the kitten. She's been giving it de-worming meds (OTC?), but hasn't said whether she sees evidence of any worms. I'm hoping to get an answer, so she can make an educated decision on what to do with the kitten, and hopefully get over her fear, and keep the kitten.

I have an 11 month old red-nosed pitbull that has dry skin. It doesn't seem to bother him. Also, he seems to be shedding alot. Is there a better shampoo to use or something I can give him?
