If you’re going for unique and exotic names you will definitely want to stay away from using traditional pet names. Names like Fido are considered to be traditional and classic names for pets and are way overused. You may also want to avoid using regular people names for your pet as well. Many of these get overused as well and can cause some confusion when coming up in a conversation.
