First, take your cat to the vet. There is nothing more important. If your cat does not receive the proper attention, you may not be able to detect birth defects or possible complications. Going to the vet can also help you determine when the cat got pregnant for a more specific date for delivery.

After you have taken the cat to the vet, you can start to make your home more kitten-friendly. One thing in particular that you should do is make sure there are no places for your cat to hide the kittens. Some mother cats like to hide babies and if you cannot get to them, they may end up getting hurt.
